Cloud computing is a hot topic in the tech industry and for good reason. It can have a huge impact on businesses of all sizes, especially when it comes to reducing IT spending, increasing efficiency, and improving customer experience. But what exactly is cloud computing? In this post, we will go over different types of deployment models that are used in the cloud. We'll also cover some features of AWS Managed Services and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Cloud computing is the on-demand delivery of compute power, storage, applications, and other IT resources from a provider. It's an alternative to traditional models like purchasing physical hardware or running software in your own data center. Cloud providers deliver these services through different deployment models such as public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud. Let's take a closer look at each model below.

Different Types Of Cloud Computing: There are many different types of clouds that offer benefits in various industries such as public, private, community, or ...
... hybrid models.

Public Cloud Deployment Model

A public cloud infrastructure can be accessed by anyone with internet access (for example Amazon Web Services). Public clouds are usually built for compliance reasons where information must not leave the premises under any circumstances. Features of AWS Managed Services include security monitoring 24/365; backup management; alerts & notifications about potential threats and breaches; PCI DSS compliant encryption. Managed Services for Amazon Web Services include AWS Security Hub; continuous security scanning, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (PCI-DSS); access to threat intelligence feeds.

Private Cloud Deployment Model

A private cloud is a deployment model where an organization owns the physical infrastructure of the public or private network and uses it exclusively. Features of AWS Managed Services include 24/365 monitoring across both hardware and software components; backup management with automated data compression that minimizes bandwidth requirements; advanced features such as database snapshots without scheduling downtime.

Hybrid Cloud Deployment Model

Combining different models between public and private clouds creates hybrid clouds which provide organizations with more flexibility in terms of service delivery. Features of AWS Managed Service includes WAN Acceleration, Global Load Balancing, and Geo-Redundant Storage

Community Cloud Deployment Model

Features of AWS Managed Service include a common environment for shared applications with access to a rich pool of resources. Accessible cloud interfaces are available on all major operating systems and browsers
A business can implement one or two different deployment models depending on its needs and resources.

Conclusion

There are 3 different cloud deployment models and they all have their own advantages. If you're considering a move to the cloud, talk with us about your needs before making any decisions. We'll help you explore which of these three options is best for your business.
