Many of us when we are sad or when things are not going the way they should, just go online and find something to change our mindset or find something that can make us laugh like funny videos for a while and also come across videos that we do not want to end or scroll forward and would like to view the videos and wish it never ends. The magical part of the video is not the content of the video it’s the speaker.

The art of representing yourself is more important than the content itself and you can compare for eg. If you have ever experienced how cuisines are served in a fancy restaurant as compared to how they are served in a food court of a mall or a roadside eatery. What is not important is how fresh or tasty the roadside restaurant serves. What’s important is the price and it’s not for the taste that fancy restaurants charge for, They mostly charge for their unique representation of food that makes you feel special and more hungry and you also may have noticed that there is a science behind this art. The more artistic and fancy our food looks the more we have already made up our mind that it’s ...
... going to be mouth-watering tasty since our brain receptors already release dopamine to fancy food and it’s already considered tasty.

Have you heard a politician’s speech when there are elections around? Have you ever experienced their tone while they are promising how they as a leader will fulfil the wishes of the public or how they going to benefit society once the public appoints them as their leader? If you have not experienced it so far please watch any politician’s speech over Youtube and you will find that all the politicians have a habit of promising out loud. This is not because they are addressing the deaf audience. It’s because this develops a sense of confidence in the audience that he must be right that is why he is speaking aloud. It’s human nature that when you are correct at something or are proving to be correct the pitch in the tone increases which develops the confidence in the listener. In a class, while the students are asked to read phrases in the chapter many students sound dull and unvarying however some may sound energetic and zestful.

It’s not that they are reading from different books or different publishers or they are full of energy while other students don’t it’s more important how you are reading it. So the actual art of spell-bounding listeners is a balance of quality content and speaking in front of the audience.

Here are a few steps that you can follow to make your audience intriguing by your English Speaking Skills :

• Practice

The most important part of the speech is practice until you have to speak in an unplanned audience instantly. If you are participating in a seminar or have a pre-aligned speech its important to practice in from of the mirror so that you know where the commas and full stops are and the pronunciation of the word so that you do not fumble in front of the audience which creates a negative impact on them.

• Using Voice Modulations

Even If you are giving an instant speech or a planned One – To engage your listeners you need to use voice modulations frequently since do not consider everyone to listen to as you are talking to different minds at the same time and to engage them all make sure that you are not sounding dull and constant at the same time as this might be a reason for them to lose the concentration in you and they’ll be daydreaming about something else. So feel like the audience is your home and you talking to them and not narrating a story.

• Record your Preparations

Recording your sessions at home while you are reading or practising a speech will give you some exceptional benefits like – Where you require modulations or where you need to stop a little or where exactly your pronunciation is going wrong and you can work on it make wonders in your speeches.

• Use Smart Synonyms

It’s important to use synonyms wisely since If you use complicated words or extraordinary words either the listener won’t understand them or you will fumble or use the wrong pronunciation, either way, it’s a loose – loose situation for you which does not give a good impact on the listener. Use smart, cheeky, interactive words that will not only help you to earn a good audience but they’ll be engaged and want to listen to you more.

Stay Safe and Good Luck!
