The independent concerns are run by people who are self-employed and run their business by themselves and for themselves. The national companies, meanwhile, usually employed people who have been trained within specialist areas, usually with permanent office staff to take your calls and prepare all the paperwork. Whichever you choose could be largely decided by the amount of possessions you have to move, whereabouts you are moving to and the actual distances involved. Naturally, choosing a man and van is not going to be particularly viable if you are moving from New York State to Florida with enough belongings to comfortably fill a five-bedroom home. However, if you just have a studio flat or are a student, moving a few blocks or into the next town, then a man and van would be a perfect choice.
