... which are recommended by the doctor to reduce the pain of the arthritis. They are range of motion, endurance and strengthening. Range of motion exercises are related with the activities like dancing in which all the joints moves in all the directions. These are the exercises which are recommended to all the patients of arthritis as they are easy, and they will also help to keep the joints mobile and it will also prevent stiffness. This exercise, range of motion is prescribed by the doctor to perform it on the daily basis or at least alternate days. Intensity and the number of exercises of the patient must be increased gradually as the patient starts to get in shape.
Isometric and isotonic movements are included in strengthening exercises. Isometric exercises are related with the movements in the muscles without moving the joints. Where as isotonic exercises are related with the exercises in which there is the movement of both, muscles as well as joints. In both the movement there is a building of strong muscles around the joints which causes problems. If the muscles are stronger then it will better support the joints. As a result there will be decrease in the pain and the patient will able to move their joints easily.
Endurance exercises are related with the exercise which improves the cardiovascular condition which will increase the heart rate for at least 20-30 minutes.
