If you exercise on a regular basis, you will know how important it is that you warm up before you start of. Now, warm up might not necessarily contribute towards burning the calories effectively, but it certainly does help in building muscles as it helps in getting your body be all geared up for the heavy exercise and workout that you are about to do. It helps to avoid any kind of muscle cramps or injuries that can happen if you do not do a proper warm up. Warming up helps in loosening up the ligaments and also some joints so that it just adds on to the exercise that you are about to do.
Doing the warm up exercises properly helps in increasing the body temperature and even helps to ease the muscles a bit. This in turn helps in contraction and relaxation of muscles when you do any heavy exercise of weight training. It boosts your ability to perform those exercises with a lot of ease, and it also gives your body a nice heads-up to be ready for the heavy exertion that is coming its way for the next hour.
