What are EOT cranes?
EOT cranes stand for Electric overhead traveling cranes. This crane is mostly used in a double girder, single girder, and under slug. Overhead crane moves the heavy object from one place to another place in an accurate manner because of crane remote control. And all the heavy objects progress above the head and the heavy objects are lifted through the machine called Hoist. This crane moves in a side to side and backward & forward direction also called a rectangular direction.

How are EOT cranes used?
EOT cranes are used for the industrial purpose to lift heavy materials and goods. These heavy objects lift up with the help of a device called a hoist. The EOT crane can be operated in a different way like it can be wired or it can be a wireless system. In the wireless system, the EOT crane operates with a remote system called a Radio remote control for EOT cranes. With the help of the EOT crane control panel, the cranes moved in a direction. Either it can be left, right, up or down manner.

Wireless remote control for overhead crane:
The EOT crane control panel is used to ...
... control the crane and this device has different types. It can be 8 button radio remote, 12 buttons with various functions on the device.
There is one more device from which the EOT crane can be controlled called a Joystick radio remote control. Joystick radio remote control is an input device from which you can control the EOT crane with one stick. And this stick can be moved in any direction like up, down, left, and right according to the need.

Working principle of EOT remote control crane:
Crane remote control works on the principle of radio waves. When we push the button on the remote control crane then it transmits the signal from the device and the receiver gets the signal. As soon as the receiver gets the data, it decodes and decrypts the data and switches on an assigned relay which activates the desired switch in the EOT Crane Control Panel. The communication between Transmitter and Receiver happens more than 10 times in a second.
The transmitter can continuously monitor many parameters of the communication link such as the number of attempts for successful transmission, received signal strength, Link Quality Indication, missed packets, etc. Transmitters and Receivers use the Automatic Frequency Hopping technique to continuously change the transmission frequency to avoid interference from undesired radio signals and increase the safety of the crane.
The wireless radio remote transmitter and receiver have the capability of both transmitting and receiving. Hence whenever data is sent from the transmitter, the receiver transmits the feedback signal back to the transmitter.
In the feedback message, the transmitter can understand various parameters such as reliability of the communication link, number of retries for successful transmission, received signal strength, etc.
Feedback allows the transmitter to know if the receiver has received the transmitted signal correctly. Any faults or noise interference in the receiver can also be transmitted back to the transmitter. This allows the transmitter to be aware of the receiver environment at all times.
