Architecture of Golden temple
One of the most profound characteristic of Golden temple is that it is built at a lower level. The temple truly boasts to be one of the most treasured jewels of India with its marble flooring, golden dome, and intricately engraved designs on the ceiling. Guru Granth Sahib is kept on the first floor under a beautiful canopy. On the second floor, there is a Shish Mahal. It is a dazzling mirror room that is constructed with a square opening. The opening is given just above where the Guru Granth Sahib is kept on the first floor in order to avoid stepping on it.
