Resolving 'verifying Forwarding Address' Error In Blackberry Desktop Redirector
BlackBerry Desktop Redirector is a software that replaces BlackBerry Enterprise Server to fulfill organizational needs in an e-mail system. This tool is installed on a desktop and allows forwarding e-mails and organizing Outlook (using POP3, Exchange Server, or IMAP account) data to and from your device. The application prompts few errors when it finds Outlook data file (PST) corrupted for some reasons. The further article discusses similar error and corresponding MS Outlook Recovery solutions.
When you open Blackberry Desktop Redirector, you may find the following error message in 'Status' field:
Verifying Forwarding Address.
The above error results everytime you open the BlackBerry Desktop Redirector and won't allow you to forward the e-mails.
Causes
Some reasons for the above error are:
1)An internal e-mail address (the address used by company employees to communicate internally) has been configured to be used by BlackBerry Desktop Redirector. The application cannot process such messages.
2)No user account of BlackBerry ...
... device is added to BlackBerry Enterprise Server
3)E-mails are being flagged as viruses
4)A rule is moving e-mails from network@flycatcher.blackberry.net.
5)Outlook PST is damaged
Solution
You can implement following solutions:
1)Contact your network administrator to get external e-mail address and make sure that the 'Account field under 'Redirector Settings of Blackberry Desktop Manager has your external e-mail address typed and 'Override Address' check box is selected.
2)You should contact your BlackBerry Enterprise Server Administrator for adding your user account with correct personal identification number.
3)For disabling virus flags on GFI MailEssentials software, contact your server administrator.
4)Delete the problematic rule, if it exists, from 'Rules Wizard' of MS Outlook.
5)To repair corrupted PST, you can run Outlook's Inbox Repair Tool (Scanpst.exe). If this fails, you should use a third-party Microsoft Outlook Recovery utility. These applications enable safe and effective MS Outlook Recovery by repairing and restoring corrupted PST to a safe location.
