Misconceptions about entrepreneurship

Nowadays entrepreneurship gains more and more popularity. People want to be responsible for their time-management and amount of income. It is said that self-employed people may have days off whenever they want to. They may have vacation several times a year. It sounds tempting, doesn't it?

But self-employed people will only grin listening to these arguments. These are the widely spread misconceptions about the peculiarities of self-employment. Ill-informed people think that all the entrepreneurs are in clover. In fact they meet challenges that differ from the difficulties of other professions. But it does not mean that they have jam on it.

Being responsible for making decisions day after day may be tiresome. It is difficult to get the social support of the colleagues, because all of them are business rivals. Self-employed people can manage their time, but often it results in unlimited working day. They themselves outrage their right for the 9 hour working day and there is no person to be blamed for it. Some entrepreneurs could even envy the stability of the fixed rate ...
... of salary of other workers.

Difficulties of entrepreneurship

Notwithstanding the social prejudices concerning the opportunities opened up by the self-employment, working routine of entrepreneurs is full of difficulties and challenges. The high level of self-organization and self-management are required for becoming a successful entrepreneur. The following factors cause psychological stress of all self-employed:

lack of stability;

unlimited workday;

increasing demands of the market.

Continuing self-perfection is obligatory for the entrepreneur's progress. The self-employed people cannot stop their development; they need to be in the know of the latest news and achievements. Lagging behind is sure to result in decay of business. The entrepreneurs are not only to go with the times, but even be ahead of them. Like all other professions self-employment has its pros and cons. Only continuing self-perfection and self-organization will help to become a successful entrepreneur.
