The Future Of Crm And Cloud Computing
Cloud Computing is a relatively new concept and has become increasingly popular over the last few years. When a business Implements cloud computing, all information used on a day to day basis including all applications, programs and services, are moved onto the cloud. They do this instead of using them on or in a desktop program or a workstation.
What this means is that anything you do is done on the Internet in a related web application instead of a program run on your desktop. This includes things such as writing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, invoicing and billing and all contact management whether business or private, as well as anything else done for business purposes.
Customer Relations Management is the process of organizing all customer and client information in relation to the business. CRM software is a program installed on a computer that takes CRM to the next level of organization. Because clients' information is managed by the program and the computer, it is easier to organize as well as maintain and update. These CRM tools or programs also allow the ...
... business to keep track of a client's likes and dislikes, formulate a sales and marketing plan and complete many other business tasks in relation to the client.
What does Cloud Computing mean to Customer Relations Management? It means that there will be fewer costs overall and more time to do other things for your business and your clients. Because everything is processed and created in the cloud, the only thing needed is a browser and log-in and password.
The business will no longer need to pay for enormous upgrades to their hardware to make it compatible with the CRM software program they use. In addition, because there is no CRM software to use, there will be no upgrade time spent, meaning no downtime for the business and no fees for the upgrade. This means an overall savings for the company. Quite possibly, the only fees paid out may be the monthly fees to use the service, as per the contract, which is bound to equate to much less capital spent overall.
The various versions of cloud based CRM applications allow for multiple possibilities in addition to the easy integration of client information to the cloud. For example, many companies are looking for a way to expand their business model and increase sales. Using a cloud based CRM application gives that company the ability to use the web CRM profile to link from other websites in a form of social networking.
Because most prospective customers are now on the Internet, this makes it easier to reach them in their element and increase their client base, not to mention profits. Because CRM cloud programs are easy to implement, they save valuable time and money. With the various hosted or web versions available, each business can find a cloud based CRM to fit their needs and their business model.
