Water bottles are also very useful, but remember that you will have to discard any un-finished drinks at the airport unless you move them into your suitcase. You can even make the most of being driven by someone else for a change and take alcohol!

Next you should look in to entertainment for the journey, and this is particularly important if you have children. Here the options are multitudinous and you can opt for books, magazines, portable DVD players, handheld games consoles or even small laptops. Another popular item to bring is an MP3 player or CD player, though most airport taxi drivers will be happy to play a CD you bring on their stereo if you can all agree on some tunes to listen to. Some airport taxi drivers will even have a DVD player in the car which you can use and if so they will probably have a selection of DVDs with them.
