Trends In Men’s Jewellery

Jewellery should and never has never been just something women adorn. In fact, right from the period of reigning monarchs, the kings of Indian heritage wore just as much if not more jewellery than the queen. So, it is no surprise when we see men getting adventurous with their choices and not shying away from donning designer jewels and accessories. With men’s jewellery on the go, another trend that has picked up among Indian jewellers is gender-fluid jewellery. Right from the conventional men’s bracelet designs in gold to unisex brooches for sarees or sherwanis, jewellers have it all. Cufflinks, rings, tiepins and lapel pins are also on the rise. While the demand for the variety of jewellery is increasing, it is also jumping onto the bandwagon of dropping brick and mortar stores. While the change in this sector would be slower as compared to the others, we have seen an increase in the online jewellery portals and sellers, while playing it safe and keeping their showrooms are also introducing an online jewellery shop.
If you are a man who is a jewellery enthusiast and like to keep up with the latest trends, here’s ...
... what you should watch out for:
Rings and Bracelets
Men today, want to make a statement with their jewellery choices and express themselves through cufflinks, bracelets, chunky rings and more. If you’re looking to hop onto the trend but are a little apprehensive, start out with a gold, platinum or dual metal band. You can also check out men’s bracelet design in gold, silver or platinum. We promise you’ll be mighty surprised with number of choices available.
Cufflinks
Tying together a perfect formal look, cufflinks are accessories you can don every single day. A pair of versatile cufflinks in silver or platinum on your shirt is perfect to give you that suave look. You can also opt for exclusive pieces that a beautiful-coloured enamel or a couple of diamonds to flaunt on your three-piece suit. If you’re all about keeping your outfit minimal and going all out with the accessories, team up a crisp white double cuff shirt with some statement cufflinks and you’ll definitely make heads turn.
Lapel Pins
As the name suggests, a lapel pin is a small pin worn on the lapel of a jacket. It can also be pinned to a bag or a scarf. While initially used only for functionality, it has now become a fashion statement and simple pins are being replaced by heavy and ornamental ones.
Brooches
Usually associated with sarees, brooches are now extensively being worn by men. They have the ability to uplift a simple blazer, bandhgala or jodhpuri jacket and make you look ready for the occasion in seconds. Designs inspired by nature are on the rise and you’ll see several celebrities flaunting an elephant, a tiger, a parrot or a flower as a brooch.
As the demand for men’s jewels increase, jewellers are looking to set up their online jewellery shop for those made of semi-precious metals and stones as the cost is not as high as the precious ones. This enables people to make purchases online without giving it a very hard thought and ends up in conversions.
