Monsoon (July-September): Summer lasts for about two months. After that, it is time for the place to welcome monsoon. It is a time when the droplets of water falling from the sky gives a whole new look to the place. However, it is not the best time to visit the place as the rain also increases the possibilities of the mudslides which can turn dangerous.
Winter (October-February): Winter turns this already beautiful place into a white wonderland. During this season, the whole place gets covered in white blanket of snow and that is a scene which is worth remembering forever. Also, during winter this place sees fewer footfalls and hence, is much less crowded.
How to visit the place from Delhi
Narkanda is located at a distance of a little more than 400 km from Delhi. This sleepy little town adjacent to Shimla serves as a perfect gateway from many from the hustle-bustle of the city to enjoy a few days of peacefulness.
You can reach to this place from Delhi by car. Though it is a bit of a long journey, you will end up enjoying it to the fullest. If you’re more inclined to take a train, then you have to deboard at Kalka. It is the nearest station from Narkanda. Other than that, you can also opt for the buses to make your trip.
