Curtains are unquestionably the most common and widely used of all window treatments, and with good reason. These coverings are available in a wide range of materials, fabrics, styles, and patterns to fit any aesthetic preference. While there are many choices for window coverings, such as blinds, shades, shutters, and so on, curtains are much preferred and are an integral part of any house, with any or all of the windows dressed with them. If you're thinking about getting new floor coverings, take a look at the benefits we've mentioned below before making a decision.
Curtains, as every decorator can tell you, will make or break a home, but only when they are selected correctly. It's all about color and fabric, length and padding, and custom-made versus off-the-shelf when it comes to window treatments. With so many options, it's easy to get confused, so we enlisted the help of a few experts to help you narrow down your choices and choose the best drapes for your house.
Fabric:
Fabric is one of the most important things to consider when you are choosing curtains. Your choices ...
... range from faux silk to linen, sheer lace to lightweight fabric, and from medium-weight brocades to dark velvet. When choosing your fabric, there are two things to keep in mind:

The amount of light you want to let in. For example, the bedroom needs low light and privacy so you have to put fabric according to that.
Your room's atmosphere and décor. Heavier fabrics, for example, are better suited to more formal rooms, while sheer fabrics are better suited to more minimalistic spaces.

Color:
Colors set desired tone and ambiance. The surroundings have a telling effect when it comes to color.  Curtains should preferably match the color scheme of the rest of the room. You have the option of selecting drapes that compliment or clash with the decor. Choose drapes that match the color of your walls for a flattering look. If it's too hot outside and the curtains will be exposed to a lot of intense sunshine, use neutral shades because lighter hues disappear more easily under direct sunlight.
Fitting and length:
You must be meticulous when taking measurements of length. Take a moment to consider the height at which you'd like the curtains to begin above the window or door frames. 5-6 inches above the frames is standard, as per décor experts. Now the question arises how to measure curtains length? Take a measurement from the top of the window to the floor. You can add another two or three inches to the length for a more formal appearance, with partially puddled on the surface. Allow the panel to fall flush with the floor for a clean, modern appearance.
Hardware and accessories:
Hardware and accessories are also important things to look on while decorating windows with any kind of decora item. if hardware items are cleverly chosen, then they can add richness and elegance. Rods and rings play a crucial role in movement and operation. That’s why you have to be concentrated while buying these items. How to measure for curtain rods, how to choose tiebacks or holdbacks, wall brackets, you have to focus on these things as well.
Thus, these are important things to keep in mind while opting for window coverings for all rooms of your home. There are no any doubts that curtains are the most cost-effective decorating item in comparison to others. So, it is recommended to go for it.  Don’t think about making it too much expensive with other high qualities options available.
