In 2018,the 6 members of the GCC(Gulf Cooperation Council) decided to introduce VAT.With a current VAT of 5% UAE is a fast growing wealthier community, and has introduced many beneficial Corporate Taxes focusing on the culture of around $200bn inside the territory. Corporate Tax Haven Index 2021,released by the Tax Justice Network mentions the countries who will be experiencing a shrinkage in their TAX bills.
The prioritised Jurisdictions are UK’s offshore territories, the British Virgin Islands,the Cayman Islands and Bermuda followed by the Netherlands.The financial transactions have enhanced by 180%,as many regions have redirected their businesses including heavy transactions through UAE.The UAE has now been placed as the top regions after the multinationals.
If a British Citizen is staying in UAE,he/she may enjoy the tax laws,as the tax treaty between UK and UAE is liberal.And if,a Danish citizen is staying in UAE, as Denmark is an expensive place the Tax treaty between UAE and Denmark is not liberal,so he/she may not enjoy the tax laws.
