A creatine clearance test is for both a blood and urine test. It is the test that involves collecting all the urine a person creates in 24 hours, as well as taking a small blood sample. It is a waste product in the body that occurs naturally from daily use in the muscles.
Doctors compare the amount of creatine in the urine and blood. This comparison clears how much waste the kidneys are filtering out and that may be an indicator of their overall health.

Estimated GFR: This test will estimate how well your kidneys are filtering waste. The test will determine the rate by looking at factors, such as test results, specifically creatinine levels, age, gender, race, height, and weight.
