How To Chew Nicotine Gum
Ok, you're ready to start using Nicorette®'s gum.
Nicotine gum is not regular chewing gum! Bite it. Slowly. Deliberately. Somewhere around bite 15, you'll start to notice a peppery taste. Also, a slight tingling. That means it is beginning to release Nicotine.
Park it up between your cheek and gum and leave it there. The peppery taste and the tingle will fade in about a minute. Then you give it a few more bites until it starts working again. Park it in another part of your mouth. You go on this way for 30 minutes, biting and parking until the taste and tingle stop coming back.
Then you throw your used-up Nicorette away, in some place where kids or pets can't get at it. The following chart lists the recommended usage schedule for Nicorette.
