Home Automation For The Holidays
Who does not love to have holidays? That's something we all can agree upon. But apart from that holidays also brings in chaotic nights, extra house guests, all-day deliveries, and quarrels over thermostat settings. Well, it's all part of our normal family life but honestly, it can get overwhelming too. While it can get a bit out of hand, with some help from the home automation side things can get pretty interesting as well as easy.
1. Special Deliveries Need a Smart Doorbell
Often during our holding season, our hands are always full with something or the other. Usually, we are more out and tend to be involved with several things that need to be taken care of. This simply means it's a woeful thing to leave the work at hand or come from about anywhere to attend the door. On the door, where probably the delivery person is waiting with the online purchase that we had made. This is when a smart doorbell can come to be of great utility. With a smart doorbell, you see as well as communicate with anyone who is waiting for us at the door. Although that's what all video bells do, with the smart video doorbell you can do ...
... more.
As it is specially designed for the smart home, it accompanies a special custom button that works with our smart home system. And can be used for actions such as unlocking the door or turning on the entryway lights, etc.
So usually when we are out or engaged in our work, and faced with the same scenario. We can easily communicate with the delivery person and tell him that we are opening the door so that he can leave the delivery inside. All with just a tap on the same screen
2. (Remote) Control the Chaos
Although the smart doorbell has facilitated us with seeing the person on the door and letting them in by just a touch on the screen. It can get awkward for them to come in and sit on the couch until we come to attend to them. But not anymore, as with a smart remote you can play a movie on the TV, start a playlist in the kitchen, adjust the lighting and do much more like adjusting shades and heating system, etc. that can be of great help.
3. Keep Cozy
Another tough scenario about the holiday season is when it comes to temperature. Arguments arise now and then when someone feels colds and others ask them to put on the sweater, etc. This is a continuous battle that tends to go on and on.
But now with a smart thermostat, we can simply put our air conditioning in Los Angeles on schedule, and with that, we do not have to worry about the temperature anymore. With its smart learning capability and features like geofencing, it can simply set the temperature to the optimum level
Conclusion
Having everyone together for the home holidays is one of the most wonderful things. And having home automation in place ensures that it cut the fuss out of the equation and you are left with only bright and happy memories of holidays.
