After a continuous phase of fall in prices of homes in Detroit, the foreclosure listing has finally allowed the prices to increase. The February reports of increase in median prices by 22%, is still considered to be a low value as compared to the rise in prices in certain other nearby cities.

This has been a positive trend and analysts believe the resurgence in interest rates can be one of the major reasons for the increase in prices. Home sales have increased in many parts of Detroit, in February and median sale price of the non -distressed properties has improved by 64% to jump to $15,500.
