E-learning is using electronic communication possibilities like information technology, internet, mobile phones, and other multimedia platforms in teaching and learning activities. These can facilitate teaching and learn in a more effective and creative manner compared to other traditional forms of learning. This is becoming increasingly common and is being introduced informal education and has immense potentials especially in the age of digital India. The media includes numerous types of media that deliver text, audio, images, and streaming video. The technology aims to help people and make their life easier. With the use of the Internet, education has taken a leap forward. E-learning means effective use of technological tools in learning. It is effective to learn in ways that are easier, flexible, make education interesting, interactive, faster, and less expensive and makes student independent to solve problems. ... audience. It teaches digital literacy which is very effective in today’s world. It broadens the horizons of many students as it exposes students to the world outside their city or country town which is very relevant for disadvantage or rural sections of society.
Youth is being drawn towards criminality in absence of creative and constructive engagement. Even those who have passed secondary and senior secondary (10th and 12th standard) do not have such skill which might be helpful in getting a job as per requirement. They are unable to compete with those who have some such skills such as advanced training in computer skills. It resulted in their unemployment and sometimes diversion from the track. There is a huge gap between the requirement of the market and the availability of skilled youth in the field of such jobs where advanced training in computer skills is mandatory. Currently, 42% of the population of India is composed of people aged between 15–35 years and in the next 30 years, the figure will touch the 55% mark. India has become the world’s youngest country by 2020, with 64% of its population being in the working-age group.
