While driving every day, what we prefer is driving safely. But what we least consider is defensive driving techniques. At the back of your mind, you may have a safe driving mentality but rarely do you follow it or come as an impulse.

You should have learnt it during your driving lessons at a Ryde driving institute. But once you are comfortable with handling the car, you tend to forget the lessons. While records state, that there is less number of road accidents currently, still you need to be very mindful while driving your car. When you practice defensive driving techniques, you are doing your part to combat road accidents. All you have to do is be aware of your surroundings, be patient it and have a presence of mind so that you can take an action without any confusion. So, given are some of the ways through which you can practice defence driving daily.

Safety First

There is no point in debating about safety and it comes with individual practice. Wear your seat belt while driving - this ...
... is the prime safety measure that everyone sitting in a car should follow. Irrespective of how long you are going to drive, buckling up should be the first thing to do after getting into the car. Next, adjust the side mirrors so that you can take a good at the back. Adjust your seat as well according to your height. Create a safe environment around you so you can be confident about your driving.

No Last Minute Hurry

Running late just at the beginning of the day can knock you off your schedule for the entire day. It not only creates stress but also decreases your concentration. You tend to make wrong decisions out of pressure. It is a complete no when you are sitting down in your car for driving. Make sure you leave 15 minutes early to reach on time and without any hurry.

Stay Focused

No matter how many times you have driven through the same road, you need to keep your focus straight. Never use your phone while driving and if your children need their attention pull over at the site and look after them. You can switch on your favourite radio station while driving to stay focused throughout the trip. If you are unaware of the defensive driving techniques, re-enrol for driving lessons at a Ryde institute.
