It is very important to remember to brush your teeth daily to eliminate food particles and gems causing elements. You may not know, but your mouth can have 100 - 200 different categories of bacteria that are just waiting for the correct moment to start expanding. Just brushing your teeth is also not effective; you need to follow a good brushing technique that will eliminate thousands of bacteria in a single wash. To know more about the brushing techniques, you should talk with the dental clinic in Chermside.

Don't worry, it is very natural to have bacteria in your mouth and some of them are even good for you. All you have to worry about is the bad bacteria. Your saliva does its part in killing most of the bacteria however, at times, this is not enough and you need to take extra care in killing the remaining ones. If the bacteria stay back in your mouth for a longer duration, decay and gum diseases are sure to affect you. Just by brushing twice daily, you will eliminate all of the disease-causing bacteria.

When you consume your ...
... food, the bacteria starts to eat it as well producing acid that decomposes in our teeth. The acid dissolves all the minerals from our teeth and if it is as it is you can expect cavity formation later. Different categories of food react to the minerals differently as sugar and soft drinks stick to the teeth giving breeding ground to bacteria.

Just brushing is also not enough, as you need to floss it as well to remove any hidden food particles in between your teeth. When you start to brush your teeth, the bacteria lose their drip over your teeth thus eliminating them. Our saliva restores the mineral contents on the teeth surface creating a barrier. If you feel any uncomfortable sensations in your gums or teeth, make sure to visit a dental cleaning in Chermside where an efficient dentist will have a look at the issue and prescribe you the treatment.

You should also not brush your teeth right away after eating. The dentist recommends waiting for 30 minutes after having your food and then brushing your teeth. Dentists also recommend limiting your intake that should generally remain 3 main meals and a snack in between. Lastly, you should make sure to visit a dentist annually for a complete checkup of the oral parts and their condition.
