There are many people who cannot afford to have a lucrative wedding ceremony. As a result, people often switch to court marriage which involves much lesser expenses when compared to the traditional way. Court Marriage fees in Delhi
The cost of a court marriage can vary depending upon the way the marriage is ...
... taking place. If it is a simple court marriage then the registration fees could be anything between 500 and 1000 INR (varies from state to state). This is just the registration fee, other fees are charged separately for other procedures and paperwork. But if professional lawyers are involved, then the charges would be a bit higher. Let us look at the different ways of court marriages and the fees involved in each of them.
1.Court marriage under the ‘Special Marriage Act’: In this kind of marriage, there is no ceremony involved. At first, a marriage file is prepared and then the application for marriage is submitted. After this, the court gives a 30 day notice period. Within the given timeframe, if there is no objection filed, then the court marriage is successfully complete. Finally, the marriage certificate is issued to the couple. The fee for this type of marriage in Delhi is usually between INR 6500 to INR 7000 including everything.
2.Arya Samaj Marriage: This type of marriage is very common in Delhi. The registration is done immediately and then the marriage certificate is also given to the couple on the same day. It is an expedited process and the cost involved in this type of marriage is something around INR 8000. But the drawback here is if you wish to opt for this type of marriage you will have to belong to any one of the following religions, Hindi, Buddhist, Sikh, or Jain.
3.Registration Marriage: This kind of marriage is also popular in Delhi. In this process, the registration is done after the arya samaj ceremony so the couple had to visit twice. The entire process takes around 2 days and it costs around INR 12500.
These were the different types of court marriage in Delhi and the associated fee with each of them. Make sure that you do prior research on the court marriage procedures in Delhi as they might update from time to time. Also, it’s better to hire professional services while going for court marriages in Delhi to ensure all procedures are seamlessly taken care of.
