The early life of Babasaheb was not much fascinating. Belonging to a Marathi background, his father was a subedar and served the British Indian Army, which came from the Dalit framework. That era witnessed massive exploitation against the untouchable Dalits. He, however, attended formal education at Mhow cantonment (presently in Madhya Pradesh). At his school, he observed a great deal of discrimination against students from Dalit and other lower communities. He himself was not allowed to drink water from the common well, not allowed to play with his contemporary, and in fact, made to sit separately and away from the higher caste students. From that time on, he had pledged to change the existing conditions of the backward classes and ill-treated sections of the society.
Babasaheb was the first Indian Dalit to have had completed graduation successfully. He strived very hard to get a degree in law, despite the devastating scenario of the Dalits in British colonized India. He was a reputed scholar in economics, political science, etc. and had earned a degree in those fields of studies. Besides, he was the eminent person who constructed the constitution for the Republic of India. He marched at Mahad to install and establish equality and the rights of the untouchables. This was because the untouchables in Mahad were denied to use the lake water or even enter the premises. He was awarded the ultimate prestigious award- “The Bharat Ratna” in the year 1990, post his saddened demise. There is no end to his list of achievements. We could discuss it the whole day.

He made the constitution in such a way that could bridge the differences between the castes and cultures. He introduced India with the so-called "secularism" term to bring all the Indians belonging to various beliefs closer. Without secularism, India could not have been the modern day's largest democracy. The Indian constitution that Babasaheb made binds every Indian together with a sense of belongingness.
The Indian constitution takes care of every social difference, be it upper and lower caste, or be it the gender inequalities. The Indian constitution imparts the message of respecting every fellow resident of the nation and giving recognition to everyone’s efforts. This was done by creating a reservation for the underrated to bring balance and stability and to consider everyone's struggle. Indeed, an amazing man with courage and wisdom- Babasaheb Ambedkar.
