When it comes to oral care make sure that the kids at home at have good dental hygiene. Unlike adults who are well aware of how our teeth might get affected if we eat too many sweets and aerated drinks, kids don’t know this. And even if you warn them, they end up eating too many chocolates, cakes and pastries. As parents, you have to make sure that they inculcate good dental habits and that they follow the basic regime of brushing their teeth - at least twice every day - one after they get up and the other before they go to sleep.

Keep a watch on what your kids are eating throughout the day. Make sure that sweets and chocolates are away from their reach. They can have chocolates once a week and not more. Cavities, toothache, gum problems, bad breath are quite common in case of kids. And if your child is too young he will not be able to express the pain clearly as well. Unless you keep a tab on them it will become difficult to change their habits.

Just like adults, kids too need a good toothbrush that will be soft on the gums but strong on the teeth. Any toothbrush is good for ...
... the first three to four months. You need to replace the toothbrush after four months. The same should be followed in case of your kids. Since they are too young, there is no need to floss their teeth or use mouth freshener. Twice a day brushing is sufficient for them. And when you go for your dental check up, take your kid along with you. Get your kid checked by the dentist at the dental clinic Chermside. If there is any issue of concern then the dentist will tell you then and there.

Oral care should be started as early as possible if you want strong teeth for your kids. Explain to them the importance of having good teeth and take them to the dental clinic Chermside at least once every three months. Kids tend to follow and imitate their parents a lot. So if you have good dental habits, your kids too will develop them in the long run. While taking care of your kid’s teeth, don’t forget about your own. Twice a day brushing, regular flossing and using of a mouth freshener once a week is must. Book your appointment with the dental clinic Chermside today!
