George R.r. Martin Promises That He Has Picked Up Pace With The “winds Of Winter”

The veteran writer has promised his followers and fans that he had got a ton done in “Winds of Winter” during the time of lockdown.
However, it is imperative to understand that he will not let you see what he has written.
We get updates after updates, but still, there is no product. It has been long revealed that “Winds of Winter” will be the next book in George R.R. Martin’s iconic creation, “A Song of Ice and Fire.” The literary masterpiece has managed to go so long that an entire onscreen adaptation has managed to relay the same story on HBO, attain critical acclaims and unfathomable affluence, and reach a disappointing conclusion.
George R.R. Martin’s latest book came out way back in July the 12th, 2011, when the show Game of Thrones was just a normal show on HBO.
I assume that you have read the heading a thousand times before, and I am obliged to inform you that the Winds of Winter still has no release date. However, barring the caveat, you will be glad to know that COVID has done one good thing (apart from saving the climate to some extent, of course). Yes, it did put ...
... George R.R. Martin at home for almost a year, where he had the opportunity to get a lot of work done on his almost a decade-long awaited novel “Winds of Winter.”
And, oh lord, how much he needed that time.
He introspected on pandemic-ridden 2020 on his “Not a Blog” blog and revealed that the year had been worst for everyone around the world if not for him at an individual level. Well, plenty of things happened in 2020 (violence, protests, discrimination, and the pandemic), but Martin did reveal that there was one thing that he should be happy apart from the elections. He revealed in his blog that he finally got a chance to focus his time and energy on his next novel. He claimed in his blog that as far as his novel is concerned, 2020 has been best for him since the time he commenced writing it. He revealed that he finally wrote down several pages of Winds of Winter. However, he could not reveal any reasons for that.
Perhaps, it was the solitude incurred to him by the pandemic. He alluded to the fact that perhaps he did get his mojo back and revealed the fact that there are times when he does get his mojo back.
And that is a piece of very pleasant news for GOT fans. Isn’t it?
However, he reminded more to himself than to the fans that he must carry on and finish writing several more pages to reach a good ending for the story. And he did add that he would look to finish it off in 2021.
He further added that there is no promise when he would finish writing it because he hasn’t set a deadline for himself.
All he is revealing in his blog post is that he anticipates the novel to be finished off before 2021 ends.
So, this update-discussion should be set for next year. Shouldn’t it?
