The star of the 2006 film “Deja Vu” and the others, Denzel Washington, who has recently played the role of a cop in the movie “The Little Things,” has said in his latest interview that he has a deep reverence for what the cops do in real life.

It is needless to say that the veteran actor has played quite a significant number of cop-based characters, so it is no brainer that he has a deep fondness for the profession.

He has played the role of an officer named Deke in the movie “The Little Things,” which also stars Rami Malek and Jared Leto in the leading roles. The story puts Deke at the helm of things and follows his investigation while he attempts to catch a very dangerous psychopathic serial killer (played by Jared Leto).

The film has come at a time of political turmoil with the public’s perception of the police getting descended to an all-time low courtesy of the Black Lives Matter movement, which was started in June of last year and is still going on in different sort of ways.

He explained in the interview that he has all reverence for people whose profession demands them to give up on their life in the service for the country should a need arises. He also added that he doesn’t like people who disrespect such people because, without soldiers and cops, we wouldn’t have the freedom we thoroughly enjoy in our country. Well, at least the freedom we say we have.

Mr. Robot actor and an Academy Award winner for the film Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek is costarring alongside him in the film “The Little Things.” After “The Little Things,” he is all set to helm a film with the title “Journal for Jordan,” which would be based on a soldier who would make the ultimate sacrifice. The film would star Michael B. Jordan in the leading roles.

Denzel Washington has also played the role of few revolutionaries like Malcolm X, but he deeply appreciates his performance as a cop in the films that he has done. He also revealed in the interview that the admiration he has for cops dates back to 1991 (at the time of Ricochet) when he got a chance to get a ride-along with an officer of the Los Angeles Police Department. He saw with his own eyes a scenario where there could have been violence and killings, but he was deeply inspired by the way the officer handled things on the ground using all his patience, understanding, and communication.

Denzel Washington realized on that day what cops go through the week in week out. Of course, he was talking about good cops, not the ones that beat up innocents.
