Growth In Solar Power Could Fuel Demand For Electrical Courses

News that solar power could play an important role in electricity supply in the future could lead to demand for electrical courses increasing to ensure that professionals understand the equipment.

A report released by the International Energy Agency (IEA) suggested that solar power could provide nearly one-quarter of the world's electricity by 2050, which is a substantial increase from the 0.5 per cent that it accounts for currently.

If this predicted growth comes about, then engineers may need to attend electrical courses to ensure they are properly equipped to deal with such green technology.

Nobuo Tanaka, executive director of the IEA, stated: "The combination of solar photovoltaics and concentrating solar power offers considerable prospects for enhancing energy security while reducing energy-related carbon dioxide emissions."

Meanwhile, professor Philip Eames told CNN that solar power has a "bright future" and agreed that there is likely to be a significant increase in the output produced by generators of this sort.
