How Are Dialysis Machines Used?

Patients undergoing Dialysis are familiar with the process they undergo each time they need to have a session of Dialysis. They are required to go to the infirmary or clinic, have their weight measured, blood pressure and body temperature checked, have needles stuck in their arms (or have a catheter connected), then the tubes that run from their body to the Dialysis Machine and then sit on a chair or lie on a bed till the dialysis is over. For the common man and a reader, of this article, we will try and explain how machines made by different Dialysis Machine manufacturers function.
The dialysis machine blends and observes the dialysate. Dialysate is the liquid that helps eliminate the unwelcome left-over produces from a patient’s blood. It also helps the patient get the electrolytes and mineral deposits to their proper levels in his body. The Dialysis Machine also supervises the flow of blood while it is outside the body of a patient. The patient, technician, or the doctor could listen to an alarm go off from time to time. This is how the Dialysis Machine lets them know that something needs to be examined.
All ...
... machines produced by Dialysis Machine manufacturers in India contain plastic jugs that hold the fluids that are used to mix the dialysate. The machine mixes this dialysate, which is prepared by an acidified liquid, bicarbonate, and purified water. The acidified fluid comprises electrolytes and minerals. The other fluid that is used during the procedure is bicarbonate. Both the above solutions are variegated within the machine and also mixed with refined water. While a patient undergoes the procedure, dialysate, and his blood flow through the Dialysis Machine (but they never touch each other).
Fresh dialysate from the machine enters the dialyzer of the patient throughout his treatment. Contaminations are sifted out of the blood into the dialysate. Dialysate encompassing unwelcome left-over products and extra electrolytes leave the dialyzer and are washed away down the drain. Blood tubes carry a patient’s blood from his access point to the dialyzer. These blood tubes are threaded through the blood pump. The patient will see his blood pump revolving in a round gesticulation. The thrusting action of the blood pump thrusts the blood through the dialyzer and back into the patient’s body.
A point to be noted here is that the patient’s blood has a tendency to coagulate when it moves through the blood tubes. To prevent this from happening the nurse or attending doctors will give the patient a drug called heparin. The physician will order the amount of heparin a patient should get at each Dialysis treatment. The amount of Heparin prescribed is drained up into a syringe then placed on the Dialysis Machine into a section called the heparin pump. The heparin pump is preset to liberate the right amount of heparin into a patient’s blood tubing during his treatment.
One snag that may occur during the dialysis procedure is that air gets into the blood tubes. To stop this from occurring, the blood tubes have two air set-ups constructed into them. One set-up is before the dialyzer and the other is after it. These set-ups latch any air that may get into the scheme. If air does get past these set-ups an in-house Dialysis Machine air measuring device shuts down the blood pump and an alarm will buzz. All blood flow into and out of the patient’s body is stopped until the air is got rid of.
Most modern machines supplied by Dialysis Machine suppliers uninterruptedly observe the densities created by the blood inside the blood tubes and dialyzer. The Dialysis Machine also supervises the blood flow, temperature, and correct mixture of the dialysate. If any of these stop working as they should, the machine lets all know by announcing an alarm, flashing lights, and closing down the blood or dialysate flow.
