Professor Stephen Hawking predicted how the world would end and penned a “near-certain” doomsday date.Hawking was a cosmologist, theoretical physicist, and author. He was also the director of research at the University of Cambridge at the time of his death. The physicist has a Ph.D. degree in general relativity, cosmology, theoretical physics, and applied mathematics. At the age of 21, the genius was diagnosed with a slow-progressing form of motor neuron disease that paralyzed him gradually over the decades.Source:https://officehomeandstudent2019.a3office.co.uk/stephen-hawking-predicted-the-ultimate-fate-of-humanity/The scientist had collaborated with physicist Roger Penrose and worked on several topics, including the gravitational singularity theorems and the theoretical prediction that black holes emit radiation, also known as Hawking radiation. However, the theory faced many initial controversies but, after the publication of the ...
... research, it got wide acceptance as an important breakthrough in theoretical physics. Hawking was the first who explained quantum mechanics and the general theory of relativity.Hawking received commercial success after publishing some of his books, including his theories and cosmology in general. His science book on cosmology, “A Brief History of Time: From the Big Bang to Black Holes” was in the bestseller list of Sunday Times for 237 weeks.stephen hawking predictedIn his mini-documentary television series “Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking,” Hawking described his theories in detail. In the series, he raised the question, what caused the expansion or inflation of the universe? Hawking said if we could answer that then we would fully understand the origin of the planet or the Big Bang theory and what is the fate of the universe. The physicist explained that the key element that could possibly explain it all is the “dark energy.” Dark energy is the mysterious form of energy that is still largely unknown to humankind. The first observational evidence of this energy came to existence from supernovae measurements. This form of energy is also the reason for the acceleration in the process of the universe’s expansion. It is pushing the space apart even if gravity is pulling the space together. Hawking said that the presence of dark energy might provide the kick to inflate the universe, although scientists are not so sure about it.According to the lambda-CDM model of cosmology, it indicates that around 69% of the total energy in the present observable universe is dark energy. However, the theory of acceleration of the universe’s expansion by dark energy challenges the theory of the beginning of the universe, the Big Bang theory.Hawking explained if the energy slowly weakens, then the force of gravity would get stronger, and within 20 billion years or so, the universe would go back to where it came. He added that space would contract, known as the Big Crunch. The Big Crunch is a hypothetical theory of the ultimate fate of the universe, which explains that after the expansion of the universe, it would eventually reverse and recollapse. The ultimate goal of the cosmic scale factor is to reach zero. After the Big Crunch, the universe would be followed by a reformation of the universe with another Big Bang. However, according to the astronomical observation, the expansion of the universe is gradually accelerating rather than slowed down by gravity which is suggesting the ultimate destiny of the universe is a Big Chill, which means the expansion will continue forever. And eventually, it will cool down, becoming too cold to sustain life.In between all these theories and hypotheses, how will the universe end? And will we figure out how to navigate a new universe before then? Or even if it is possible to navigate one?To answer all these questions, Hawking said, first of all, we need to understand why this universe exists at all. Perhaps only then humankind will unfold the whole cosmic puzzle.Visit :  office.com/setup
