Importance of Guidance and Counselling in Education

Speaking with experience, guidance, and counselling in education is rather neglected until the later stages of one’s student life.

And by the time one discovers one’s interest in a specific field, it is either too late or the career goals diverge. It is crucial that one gets the appropriate guidance and counselling in education at a precise time.

Guidance in simple words can be defined as a process of directing one in a specific direction so as to help reach a certain goal.
With proper guidance, it is possible to make choices based on one's interests and ambition. Counselling on other hand can be defined as a process that can help one see things more clearly; it is also coined as “Talking Therapy” wherein it assists a person to share their thoughts so as to get a clear idea of what they want to pursue and how to go about it.
