Whenever you are walking, do you feel a discomfort? If you have to stand somewhere for 10-15 minutes do you feel pain in the heel? Do you feel better if you sit for sometime, as if the weight ahs been taken off your feet? If the answers to all these questions are yes, then it mean that you are suffering from heel pain. This pain is quite common in this generation, especially amongst women who wear stilettoes and high heels. When you are wearing high heels, you are exposing yourself to excess pressure mainly on the knees. Your feet carry the entire body weight. Wearing uncomfortable shoes disbalance the body balance. As a result, you will tend to twist your leg or fall down easily. The reason behind all these is heel pain. Thus it becomes important to treat the heel pain right at the beginning if you would like to recover fast. And how do you do that? What are the heel pain treatments? Before you try out any measures you should book an appointment with the podiatrist in Bath. Tell him about the symptoms and find out what needs to be done. The podiatrist will tell you to get an MRI and XRAY done so that he can have a clear idea ...
... about the damage done. Accordingly the podiatrist will recommend the treatments.

Following are some of the common stretching exercises that you can carry out as part of your heel pain treatment:

For the Plantar Fascia Massage you need to sit on a chair or a stool. One foot should be resting on the floor while the other one should be on the frozen water bottle. (Frozen water helps to reduce inflammation hence this bottle.) Now gently roll the foot that is on the bottle in a forward and backward motion. Do this ten times with each foot. Do two sets per foot. We suggest that you do this exercise once every day.

For the heel raise exercise, you should make sure that the movements are slow and controlled. Don’t rush through the exercise. When you are carrying out the exercise make sure that your balance is proper and you don’t fall off. If required hold a railing to balance it out. In this exercise you need to stand on the edge of the floor steps so that when you raise the heels – half of it is on the stair and half is in the air. When you do this movement, you will feel a stretch on the calf muscle. You need to carry out this exercise at least 10 times on both the foot to get the desired results. Just like the previous exercise, do this one daily.

There are other home remedies that you can try out as part of the heel pain treatment. Some of them are mentioned below:

Soak your feet in warm water and then cold water. Do this five times. This will help to fight the inflammation and will give relief to you.
Wear night splinters so that your feet are stretched and get the desired rest.
Put ice pack over the area where you experience the pain. This will again help to fight the inflammation.
Get rid of high heels and stilettoes.
Wear comfortable shoes.
Never walk on bare foot.

Follow these measures and you will notice a marked difference on your health and heel pain. You will find that the pain has decreased with the passage of time and you are able to walk normally without experiencing any kind of pain. So what are you waiting for? Try them out today!
