How Roger Swainston Became One Of The Most Recognized Artists Of The Underground Fishes?

Roger Anthony Swainston is an Australian painter, naturalist, and zoologist. He is one of the most recognized artists of the underwater world, who has spent most of his life capturing \the elusive colors, surfaces, and forms of the underwater fishes. He has done proper research on them, closely examining, drawing, and then has painted more than 6000 underwater fish portraits or underwater beauty.
The beauty and variety of the underwater ecosystem have constantly inspired him to keep painting the underwater fishes, coral reefs, and crustaceans. All of his works are divided into two principal streams: the continuing work of painting portraits of a variety of marine animals and the work trying to capture life from the underwater world on a broader scale. He has gradually moved from just the simple identification of the underwater fishes to creating life-sized and life-like studies of individual animals, capturing their characteristics and their unique presence.
Over several decades, Roger Swainston has painted thousands and thousands of illustrations of marine life, mainly the underwater photographs and specimens ...
... are even preserved in museum collections. It was really a challenging task for him to draw underwater. There were many hindrances like materials and techniques, buoyancy, currents, cold, and so forth. But he still managed to create such amazing portraits of underwater fishes.
Roger has also managed to make the underwater drawing of the reef, which he called the ecosystem portraits. It took him several hours to create the drawings as he has to keep observing the reefs motionlessly on the seafloor and returning every day to the same place to capture even the minute details of the reef. The paintings which he has created are the benchmark of the condition of the reef at that time when the painting was made. He has also created five large underwater paintings from the Ningaloo Reef, a place of different environments around the Coral Bay.
