It’s been a year since Apple has released the AirPods Pro, and there has been zero competition that matches AirPods Pro. Still, there are some of the best wireless earbuds you can buy other than AirPods Pro. But the AirPods Pro works differently, and once you are used to it, you will never like other wireless earbuds.

With the iOS 14 update, the sound has been improved, giving a more robust bass that makes the AirPods Pro sound better. Apple AirPods Pro connects instantly and charges very quickly, yet there is a lot to learn about AirPods Pro.

Pairing takes mini seconds

After unboxing AirPods Pro, unlock your iPhone and open your earbuds’ case, then a notification will appear in your iPhone asking permission to connect AirPods; allow that, and you are connected.

Not only with the phone, but you can also connect your AirPods Pro with any Apple device that is signed into your iCloud account.

Press instead of tapping

Apple made a slight change with this one; instead of tapping on it, press the AirPods; it acts as a sensor that will detect your touch and proceed accordingly. AirPods ...

Single Press: Pause/ Play

Double Press: Skip forward

Long Press: Switch between the transparency and noise cancellation mode.

Check the battery on your notification icon

Instead of showing it on the top, Apple added an icon in which the battery stat shows how much battery is left to alert you when to charge the device.

You can also switch modes, which will appear at the bottom of the screen: Noise Cancellation or Transparency.

Try to use the noise cancellation option

For the people working from home, this is one of the most realistic ideas Apple has worked on. Noise cancellation works by blocking all the background noise, focusing on the sound, and giving you a better experience.

If you want to turn the setting back to normal, you can press AirPods Pro for a long time. Or you can also control it from the notification that appears on the screen. A tutorial will appear on the screen which will let you choose between Noise Cancellation and Transparency setting.

Spatial Audio

If you want to avail this feature, update your iPhone to iOS 14. Turn on the spatial Audio by going into the Settings> Bluetooth> tap on the ‘i’ and slide to the option called Spatial Audio. You can also watch a demo video on how to do it.

Change modes on Mac

If you are using AirPods Pro with your Mac, you can switch the options without pressing it; if you use macOS Big Sur, you would see that your earbuds are connected to Mac. Click on the Option and change it to Noise Cancellation or Transparency; if you don’t use Big Sur, then you can click on the speaker icon on the menu bar on the top of the screen, then bring your mouse over AirPods Pro, and then select the mode you want to switch.

Do the Ear Tip test

If you are buying AirPods Pro for the first time, you need to make sure that the product is comfortable. Sometimes we bring things we are not comfortable with because it looks cool. The test will play some random sounds, and you can also try the microphone to tell if it fits right for your ears or not.

To run the test, open the Settings app on your iPhone, select the Bluetooth Option, then tap on the ‘i’ next to the name of your AirPods Pro. Select the ear tip fit test and then follow Prompts.

Do not overcharge

AirPods Pro is a wireless device, and sometimes we forgot that we plugged the device in the charging and got busy with some other work. Tap on the charge status to check that the device is fully charged or not, focus on the green light that comes up when your device is fully charged, and eventually, it will turn off. Tap on the case to check the charge status that the device is fully charged or not.
