per hour level

The Nissan Leaf is the best-selling electric car in the world. Nissan EV is an electric vehicle powered only by electricity and the battery could be charged at home. The electric motor that replaces the traditional engine offers a great driving experience with responsive and quiet acceleration.

The Nissan Leaf has some of the most advanced charging capabilities in the electric vehicle industry to date. Yes, it comes with advanced features that are beneficial for car owners.

If you are looking to buy charging stations for your New Nissan Leaf, here’s what you need to know:-

The following are the different types of chargers that are commonly used to power up the Nissan Leaf:-

Level 1: Needs a 120v outlet and offers 4.5 miles of range per hour.

Level 2: Needs a 240v and offers 12miles of range per hour.

Level 3: This is the fast Nissan leaf chargers ...
... that requires a 240v outlet and provides 40 miles of range within 10minutes.

However, the charging times and ranges will greatly vary from one model to another.

How to charge your Nissan Leaf?

The Nissan Leaf model cars use two charging standards for its inlets, including Type 2 and CHAdeMO. While type 2 is used when charging at a public Nissan charging station or home, CHAdeMO inlet is used to carry high power during rapid charging from the CHAdeMO connector. The inlets could be found behind a flap in the centre of what would be a car’s grille.

Nissan Leaf could be slow, fast, and rapidly charged from public charging stations based on the network and type of charging unit. In most cases, fast charging requires a Type 2 cable and 2 pin and slow charging requires a 3-pin to Type 2 cable. For rapid charging, you could use a CHAdeMO connector which can be tethered to the charging unit.

Public charging station

If you are using a public charger, an activation process is required to initiate charging. Based on the network provider, the process may require the use of a smartphone app or RFID card which is linked to an active account. Once activated, the units will conduct the account check and start charging the vehicle.

Charging at home

Powering your Leaf at home is indeed the most convenient option. As long as you have a dedicated circuit and proper outlet, you can install L1 and L2 charging stations at home. Level 2 charger is faster than Level 1 and you’ll need a professional to install the level 2 charging station in your house.
