When did you last compliment a woman? Not for her dress sense or the latest lip color that she wore, but for her being the superwoman that she has to be every day, day-after-day. And if you are thinking, also think when did you say something nasty because she happens to be a woman? It might have been a casual remark, like ‘Oh! Why are you so tired, what did you do the whole day at home?’ But that question did hurt her when she looked up, smiled, and said, ‘Nothing’.

The reason behind taking this moment to reflect is that the change in the way women will be perceived tomorrow starts today and it starts with us. Yes, each one of us. Because each one of us is associated with a woman in our lives. The way we treat the woman in our lives today will be grasped by those around us who will treat them the same way we do. So, if we want a change, we should better start today.

Every day, we get a chance to improve ourselves. This includes the way we interact with others, especially women. It does not matter what position we hold, whether we are daily wage earners or CEOs at an MNC, we all get a chance to change. How ...
