There are plenty of fish species that are found in the oceans of Australia. Here is a list of some of the saltwater fish species.

Barramundi:

The Barramundi or Asian sea bass is widely found in the Indo-West Pacific region from South Asia to Paua New Guinea and Northern Australia. They have an elongated body form with a large, slightly oblique mouth and an upper jaw extending behind the mouth. This fish of Australia can grow up to 1.8 m long with a maximum weight of about 60 kg.

Eel-tailed Catfish:

The Eel-tailed Catfish is a species of catfish. This fish of Australia is a freshwater native to the Murra-Darling river system of eastern Australia. They commonly grow up to 50 cm in length and about 1.8 kg in weight.
