The British rapper and actor Riz Ahmed shared that the late actor Chadwick Boseman inspired him with his moral compass and dignity.

Rizwan Ahmed is known for his independent projects, including Shifty, The Road to Guantanamo, Ill Manors, Four Lions, and The Reluctant Fundamentalist. The actor won the Primetime Emmy Award and received a nomination for some of his films. Ahmed’s breakout project is Nightcrawler, and he later appeared in the action movie Jason Bourne. He played the character of Carlton Drake in the superhero film Venom.

Ahmed won the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie and two nominations for Emmy Awards for his Night Of’s performance. The multi-talented man is also a member of Swet Shop Boys as a rapper. Rizwan got critical acclaim for his albums, including Cashmere and Microscope. The British rapper created a political rap to raise funds and awareness for Syrian refugees and Rohingya children.

Recently in an interview with Variety’s Awards Circuit podcast, while promoting the American drama Sound of Metal, Ahmed shared Boseman’s role in his life as an inspiration. Chadwick Boseman passed away this year after a long fight with cancer alongside the amazing versatile Indian actor Irrfan Khan. He listed Boseman’s “moral compass” and “dignity” that made him believe in himself and his journey. Ahmed also speaks about Irrfan Khan and recalls the actor’s suggestion of “surrender to the uncertainty.”

The actor-rapper said that Boseman had a career after many years of struggle, and his moral compass and dignity held him throughout his journey. The late actor was very particular about his choice and had a clear-eyed definition of success and defined it on his terms.

Ahmed also talked about the late Indian actor Irrfan Khan. He said Khan was a tower of talent whose work will live for many years. And Ahmed remembers his wise words that apply to the art of acting and as well as for life. Khan’s words, “Surrender to the dance of uncertainty,” inspired the rising star. And Riz always tries to implement Khan’s saying in his life as an actor and a human being.

Ahmed is known as an outspoken for the negative portrayal of Muslims in Hollywood movies and who believes in defining his meaning of success.
