What Is NDA ?
NDA stands for National Defence Academy. The NDA is India's most prominent joint training institute that prepares junior officers for the Armed Forces of India. NDA trains young men who choose Armed Forces as their career.

In this training, the students are equipped with the necessary mindset, morality and physical attributes to deal with the challenges of the war zones in the future. They are given good education in science, technology, arts and other military subjects.

When their 3-year course is over which is divided into a 6-month semester, a cadet is awarded a graduation degree from Jawaharlal University JNU.

... 3 years in NDA, a cadet emerges as a Potential Officer. After completing 3 years, Army Cadets are sent to IMA (Indian Military Academy) for 1-year training. Naval Cadets are sent to Indian Naval Academy (INA) for 1-year training. Air Force Cadets are sent to Air Force Academy (AFA) for one and a half years training. The NDA examinations are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). NDA entrance exam is conducted twice every year for recruitment in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Force.

Eligibility For NDA

To be eligible for NDA a candidate has to match up the Age Limit and Educational Qualification required for the NDA Exam. The requirement for both is as follows:-

Age Limit
Applying Age – 15.5 – 18.5 years

Joining Age – 16.5 – 19.5 years

Unmarried male candidates only

Educational Qualification
For Army:—12th passed or appearing in any stream

For Air Force, Navy & Naval Academy:—12th passed or appearing with Physics and Mathematics.
