Whether it is to maintain relations between employees and managers or to develop team spirit between employees, team building is now an integral part of the life of the company. But what does it really consist of?

Why this craze for team building?
In recent years, events organized within companies are no longer reserved solely for the promotion or advertising of the products or services that companies market. Some are also intended for employees and collaborators. Moreover, you will find here a lot of good ideas for organizing a corporate event. As for me, I can only praise the merits of this concept which, let us remember, was already common across the Atlantic in the 1990s.

Indeed, this practice has several advantages and benefits, both for the company and for the employees. And in my opinion, insofar as the activities offered are mainly carried out in groups, this tool is very effective in improving communication and thus establishing a climate of trust between employees of the same department or of different departments. Some do not hesitate, therefore, to qualify these activities as “icebreakers”. ...
... This is why the team building takes place outside the premises and the environment of the company.

The company where I work uses it regularly, at least twice a year. And the last time, it was to better integrate new collaborators recently recruited. Otherwise, team building can also be used to resolve tensions between employees, or to simply re-energize employees. Otherwise, many leaders even rely heavily on these activities to instill in their employees a sense of belonging to the company. Nothing like it to boost everyone's motivations.

Some ideas for team building activities
What's more, the possibilities are endless. The choice is both wide and very diverse between collective artistic, creative and craft workshops, or sporting challenges. And of course, it goes without saying that the activity will be mainly selected according to the objectives and goals to be achieved. Regarding myself, I had the chance to participate in three team-building events that I have fond memories of.

I hope to be part of the next scheduled session because the company is planning wine workshops this time where we introduce those present to the basics of wine tasting. Indeed, the profession of the sommelier is one of the professions that has always fascinated me and this would be the opportunity for me to become an apprentice(Kissanime).

Otherwise, my best experience remains the sailing trip off the Mediterranean. For two days, with seven of my colleagues, a skipper taught us how to manoeuvre and steer a monohull. On the third day, we took part in a real regatta. This experience really strengthened the team spirit with colleagues. I also had a lot of fun during the Légo workshop. At first, I was a little perplexed, because for me this activity was intended exclusively for children. But to my surprise, this team building was most instructive.
