A Few Ways To Spruce Up Your Kitchen
Introduction:
We're spending most of our time in the kitchen, cooking up meals for our loved ones. It eventually becomes a perpetually mundane and repetitive routine that we go through day in and day out. It's no surprise at all that we get bored and start ordering out or not spending as much time cooking home meals.
Well just like most things in life, we start to get bored and move over to the next thing.
I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, with my mum being a chef and me slowly climbing up the ladder myself in my chef career. Because of this, and my fidget personality, I've looked for ways to enjoy my kitchen more and here's just some of my selections which I think may help.
1. Invest in some japanese knives
Japanese knives, are fun, sharp and very useful. Almost like a mini samurai sword in my eyes. Not only are they made of high Japanese quality, but they're also one of the most durable knives in the world meaning you'll get a lot of use out of it.
2. Get some new grill pans
No one likes an ...
... old pan, especially when it starts to get sticky. If you're a fan of cooking high-quality meats then you'd want to find the best grill pans to suit the needs of your kitchen. These will ensure that your meet tastes succulent whilst also giving it a thorough burn.
3. Decorate your kitchen
You can also look into ways to decorate your kitchen, this could be getting new kitchen wall shelves to move the clutter away from all your cupboards, or it could just be basic kitchen wallpaper or hooks where you can hang even more pots on the wall. A lot of people have empty space on their walls in their kitchen, and you could make it look a lot nicer.
4. Cook something different
Often times, we find recipes overwhelming and stick to our traditional roots, cooking the food that has been passed down the family. However, it's fun to try new recipes for the whole family and you can start simple, slowly moving up to more advanced recipes. The creativity and joy of everyone's face when you pull it off will be priceless.
Conclusion:
These are just some ways that you can start to enjoy the kitchen, I'm constantly looking to better myself in the kitchen as well and regularly post tips on this on my blog, Mokus Kitchen. If you're looking for ways to change up your kitchen life, just remember that change is good - but scary. Dive in and try new things and I'm sure your passion for the kitchen will reignite.
