Each new season the NFL betting odds offers new hope for teams to get their shot at the playoff's that have yet to see them.

Here we will take a glimpse at four of the teams who couldn't participate in last season's playoffs but who still have a chance to break into 2010's playoffs if everything pans out.

Tennessee Titans

In 2008 they held the best record in the AFC but had a horrible start to the season come 2009, crushing their hopes of the playoffs.

Coach Jeff Fisher turned the ship, closing out the season at 8-2 after a 0-6 start. While the Titans can indeed run the ball, Fisher better attempt to execute a plan of attack in order to get Tennessee to those playoffs.

Washington Redskins

With a top ten defense this past season, only 319.7 yards were surrendered each game. With another year and more experience under Brian Orakpo under his belt as well as everyone else in pretty good shape, expect to see some improvements coming from the Redskins in 2010. Especially with the addition ...
... of Mike Shanahan, one of the best minds in football to this day.

Atlanta Falcons

Having been a 2008 playoff team and just missing the 2009 postseason, the Falcons will probably make a playoff return in 2010 as long as Michael Turner stays in good health and the defense begins to improve a little. Betting players can only wish.

Reducing the potential further harm to the recovering Turner, Coach Mike Smith will limit his carries and for now, this is a good thing. Turner has been pretty beat up all season and as a physical runner, the Falcons struggle significantly while he was out. Since Atlanta is first and foremost a running team, they are going to need Turner if they ever want to see the playoffs.

Overall, the Falcons are relatively in good shape and aimed for the playoffs. Although they have a difficult task with the Saints and the Super Bowl championship in the same division, look for Atlanta to make the 2010 playoffs.

San Francisco 49ers

With Arizona losing Kurt Warner, Anquan Boldin, and Karlos Dansby, and with San Francisco as well as Seattle going into re-build mode, it looks like Arizona will be the down-turn with Derek Anderson and Matt Leinart duking it out for the Cardinals starting quarterback position.

This makes San Francisco the likely team to bet on NFL odds to beat out in the division.
