You just need to connect the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller with your Switch dock via USB-C cable, and you are ready to go. But you will need to use that pairing button if you want to connect your controller with any other systems.

One more thing that I didn’t like about the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is the lack of IR support. I know, it’s not a big deal as most IR games require Joy-Con, which already comes with Nintendo Switch. So you will be able to enjoy all the games that use IR without any problem.

Conclusion

It is undoubtedly an excellent controller, and you should consider it for buying. At the time of launch, the controller was available for $69.99, which is relatively more expensive than PlayStation 4 and Xbox One controllers. However, now its price has been reduced by $11, and you can get it for $59. I know it is still expensive, but you will get the best experience. So if I compared all its features with its price, I would say it’s an excellent controller, and you should buy it.
