Children love playing with toys and experimenting with different objects they hold. They want to explore everything and have fun. Since this is the perfect age to play and enjoy, many parents buy them different toys that help in their growth and development. They also learn a lot from their parents and follow the same behaviour and pattern of living. Hence, it is essential to lead a healthy environment at home and enhance their learning abilities.

The name ‘Lego’ comes from the Danish phrase ‘leg godt,’ which means play well.
These toys are popular among children worldwide and are known for their safety. They have many different varieties for children of all age groups and help them develop skills simultaneously. As the child grows, the kinds of toys should also change and enhance other essential skills. They must get exposure to different toys right from soft animals to building blocks and puzzles.

The following are the benefits children receive when playing with these toys:

1.They help promote fine motor skills: By connecting pieces of different shapes and sizes, children can learn dexterity. As they apply different amounts of pressure while connecting them, their fingers can hold and control them better, hence improving the skills in performing tasks using their hands.

2.They help enhance creativity: With DIY robot toys, many children can create as many shapes, structures, and designs as they wish. There are unlimited imagination and creativity, especially during free play. They can extend their imagination levels and make unique figures out of blocks and puzzles.

3.They develop problem-solving abilities: Structured toys help children follow instructions to assemble pieces and solve problems with attention to detail. They learn skills such as balance, symmetry, shapes, colours, and sizes while playing with blocks and puzzles.

4.They aid in mathematical thinking: It even develops mathematical thinking as their minds experience fractions and divisions while figuring out how small and big pieces fit together.

5.It helps develop planning abilities: While building a remote-control robot that involves following instructions, children face enjoyable yet developmental challenges. Even mistakes made teach them to unbuild, retrace their steps, plan & analyse to achieve the final vision without learning. It is a very organic process.

6.They learn persistence: These toys are great for keeping children busy and occupied for hours together. It teaches them how to remain persistent and continue progressing towards completion. They keep building, taking their time, growing, and developing more complex designs with every level of progress.

7.They develop confidence: There is no right or wrong in these toys. Free and structured play is a learning-based process that results in creating the child’s vision and effort. They feel proud and with a sense of achievement at the end of the result. Hence, it is a positive way of helping them boost their self-esteem.
