The talent and skills of women these days are surely not limited to household chores. Yes, women are making their mark in the economy and yes, they are terrific if not better than their male counterparts. Yet, the proportion of women leading the positions at the top is substantially low than males. Females are surely making up the workforce but they aren't making it to the top positions. Women still are considered to have lack of skills, qualifications, and knowledge required to run a highly dynamic organization.
Now, this is a completely baseless assumption that has been conditioned in our minds for years. As a startup who is still venturing out, it is a great opportunity to invest in a female workforce that can thrive your organization to speed. And if you aren't finding reasons good enough to hire more women in your startup, let me give you 5 solid, justifiable reasons.
1. They help create a conducive environment
Well, intentionally or not, your hiring pattern speaks much of the diversity you bring on board in your startup. You simply cannot hire more women when you don't have a mission ...

3. Helps you create a diverse workforce
The majority of the startup, specifically tech startup has a large cohort of the male workforce. And while most of the cases are unintentional wherein before they even knew it was a male-dominated workforce, many companies still consider women unfit for the high positioned role. Now, if you wish to create a diverse workforce for color, race, and gender you have to specifically pick women that represent the type of culture you wish to create.
A diversified workforce doesn't happen overnight. It's a conscious effort of recruiting right and required, with a mission to achieve.
4. Investment in them pays off well
If you are amongst those people who say women don't have the requisite skills for the role in your company, know that most males also stand on the same radar. But, as a startup, you need the zest, creativity, and trust of someone who believes in the very purpose as you do. You can always train the women. They are avid learners and quick adapters. They would push your startup with their drive that no other male can do.
5. Think of your target customer
Whatever the kind of product or service you are dealing with, most of the time nearly 50% of your targeted customer would be female. Don't agree? Well, think of all the leading brands and the customer group they cater to. Well, the majority of them have female as leading customers.
Well, who could be better at creating products, services, and overall logistics to reach these women customers? Women, right? Well, you have your answer.
