In the world of ever-growing demand, the craving for drawing profit by the supply of the necessities has made the brands and companies implement different strategies to reach the customers. Every brand and company want to promote the sale of its product and services. Every company follows strategies to design and promote its sale. This strategy making and promotion is a part of marketing.

For decades, different methods like print, billboard, television, and radio advertisements had been used for marketing. It was quite expensive and succeeded in reaching a limited number of customers. Nowadays, online marketing is the trend to promote any product. Online marketing is a convenient method to reach a huge number of customers through a common platform.

Online Marketing: Reality vs. Expectations involves using different web portals and online services for reaching potential customers. This involves the usage of email, social media, display advertising, search engine optimization, Google Ads, and many more.

Companies use different tools for Online Marketing the tools are as follow:

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) involves paid promotion of the websites. The websites are shown more in the search engine results.
Virtual Events & Webinars to make it convenient for customers to reach personal and discuss their queries.
Besides the above-mentioned methods, A/B Testing & Website Optimization, Content Marketing, Video Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Marketing Automation, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Content Management System (CMS), Pay-per-click (PPC) Advertising, LinkedIn Ads, Affiliate Marketing are also used by the brands.

Online marketing has helped businesses to grow. It has helped them to reach a large number of clients. It enables the companies to analyze the effectiveness of their services and promotion and success at acquiring valuable customers.

By analyzing the web or mobile app experiences a company can determine the cost-effectiveness of different marketing channels. This can be done by calculating the rate of conversion of visitors to customers. This also involves calculating the cost of those visitors.

The companies also evaluate the success of these platforms by estimating the success in acquiring the customers and the business these customers generate.

They also evaluate how engaging a platform is for the customer.
