3 Workouts To Attain Full Mobility Post A Surgery

You cannot debate with the fact that post a surgery, post operative rehabilitation is of the utmost importance. This not only helps deal with the pain one might be feeling, but it will also help one get back to daily life quicker and healthier.

Here are a few exercises that will help you in the process of rehabilitation.

Straight Leg Raises

Start by tightening the thigh muscle by keeping your knee straight on the bed
Slowly lift your leg from the bed a few inches.
Hold this position for at least 5 to 10 seconds.
Start lowering your leg slowly.
You need to repeat this process till your thighs start feeling tired.

Knee Straightening

Begin by placing a small rolled towel above your heel.
Make sure that your heel isn't touching your bed or the surface you are lying on.
Next tighten your thigh.
Stretch your leg to make sure that you are able to fully straighten your knees.
Also try to make the back of your knees touch the surface you are lying on
Now Hold this position for atleast five to 10 seconds.
Make sure your legs and knees are straight.
Keep repeating until your thigh feels tired.


Knee bends (sitting)

Start by sitting in a chair ensuring that your thigh is supported
Now begin to slowly bend your knee till your foot rests on the floor.
While keeping your foot lightly on the floor, slowly begin sliding your upper body forward in the chair.
This will help you increase the bend of the knee more.
Hold this position for 5 to 10 seconds.
Once holding is over, straighten your knee fully.
Make sure that you repeat this several times.
This will help restore mobility to your knee yo a great extent.
