The Black Panthers: The Vanguard of the Revolution tells a story of a pivotal movement that has created a modern revolutionary culture in the United States, with Kathleen Cleaver, Jamal Joseph, Ericka Huggins and hundreds of others as well as archival footage of late Huey P. Newton and Eldridge Cleaver. In an age that has seen the rise of the "Black lives" movement and tense relations between the African American communities and the police, the causes are relevant once again, with such slogans as "People's Power" and "Creating a Better World." In the late sixties and early seventies the Black Panthers condemned racism, injustice and violence.
Shift in America in the chaotic 1960s and fault lines can not be avoided any more — towns have burnt up, Vietnam has exploded and civil and political wars have been wrestling.
