Aipma Promoting Growth Of Indian Plastic Industry

The AIPMA (All India Plastics Manufacturers Association) was established 73 years earlier by pioneering visionaries and is one of the biggest and oldest apex bodies for the Indian plastic industry. It is the organizer of Plastivision India, one of the biggest plastic exhibitions not just in the country but also worldwide. AIPMA has expanded considerably over the last few years with its offices situated at prime locations including Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and other cities of the country. The association has been spearheaded by several industry stalwarts over the years and AIPMA is now preparing for its Platinum Jubilee after having crossed its own Diamond Jubilee earlier.
Along with being a rich storehouse for plastic news India and other latest developments or updates, AIPMA is also striving towards transforming India into a global sourcing hub for plastics along with promoting plastics industry in adherence to global and domestic standards in addition to emphasizing on ISO, BIS, Lean Management, Six Sigma, National Manufacturing Competitiveness, Reach and other certifications. ...

It has established its Export Cell for offering assistance and information to all members of the association along with fighting against global/domestic hurdles in the way of the plastic industry in India. Memberships are strongly promoted via MSMEs and zonal areas while training programs for workers are organized. IITs are being adopted for promotion of plastics cluster development while there is always awareness and alertness regarding anti-plastic campaigns and other environmental aspects.
AIPMA has recognition from several leading Government organizations including the Union Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Department of Petrochemicals, Government of India and other State Government Ministries for raising difficulties/concerns faced by the industry/sector. It also has a vital role to play in recommending budgetary structures and templates along with tracking overall uniformity in regulations issued by the Government and making blueprints and policies for the industry likewise. The association has more than 22,000 members via its affiliated associations across the country. They represent in excess of 175 cities across various industry segments including machinery and polymer manufacturers, dye and mold manufacturers, processors, exporters, traders, consultants, manufacturers, institutions and many others. Close to 90% of members at AIPMA come from the MSME segment.
