Stop Smoking Guaranteed - Tips For Success
There are no physical reasons for us to start smoking; the body doesn't need nicotine like it does food, water, sleep or exercise. There are many chemicals in cigarettes that in high enough doses would kill us easily and quickly. However they are such small doses that it takes time for them to affect the body and long term smokers can suffer from things such as heart disease, stroke, emphysema (breakdown of lung tissue), and many types of cancer including lung, throat, stomach, and bladder cancer. People who smoke also have an increased risk of infections like bronchitis and pneumonia. As well of all these major illnesses a smoker can also look forward to having bad skin, bad breath, bad smelling clothes and hair greater risk of injury and illness and reduced athletic performance.
Stopping smoking was probably one of the hardest things to be achieved in most of smokers' life.
Below are some simple tips on your path towards quitting:
* Think of reasons to quit. Then, keep these in mind.
* Think about all of the benefits that come with quitting smoking.
* Think of how horrible smoking ...
... is for you and others.
* Avoid places and activities that connect you with smoking.
* Find alternatives to relieving stress
Quitting smoking is 90% mental. With the proper mindset, you can and will stop smoking. In the case of stopping smoking, far more success has found in those who quit smoking with a proper support program. NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) seems to be one of the most powerful methods used.
Training your subconscious to actually want to quit, instead of fighting tooth and nail every second to resist is preferable to giving into the urges and using nicotine as a therapy tool. Once you've trained your thought process the right way, you'd be surprised at what you can accomplish, and how quickly!
